Helsinki Freezeout 2009

The traditional Helsinki Freezeout is taking place between 10 and 18 january at Grand Casino in Helsinki.
The participation of 224 players in the Main Event made the prize pool to a total of €638,400, which was the highest sum ever in a tournament at Grand Casino, Helsinki.
Jani Valkeinen finally went home with the win and the first prize of €201,096, after heads-up against the well known online pro Ilari ”Ziigmund” Sahamies, who gets €125,126 for second place. Rifat Palevic from Sweden finished third for €83,630.
