The final table of the Foxwoods Poker Classic WPT Championship was one player short due to a double-elimination at the end of Day 5. Nevertheless, it still took ten hours to reach its conclusion.

Alex Perelberg started the day with just over 200,000 chips, representing fewer than ten big blinds. He still managed to last almost three hours, winning a long-shot all-in with AT against AJ and again with A3 suited against pocket 4s. His luck and his chips eventually ran out, however, and he finished in the inevitable 5th place.

The other four stacks were deep enough that they were in no rush to play for all their chips. It was 3.5 hours before the first race occurred between Matt Casterella's AK and Vadim Trincher's pocket Tens. Matt flopped a King and doubled up, wrestling the chip lead from Vadim's iron grip. Less than an hour later, Vadim got his chips back, with interest, when he moved in on a T 4 2 rainbow flop. Matt called him with T8 (top pair) and was crushed by Vadim's pocket Queens. Matt was left short-stacked and despite a valiant effort at a comeback, busted out in 4th place.

Lenny Cortellino was next to fall as he got all in with top pair, only to run into Amnon Filippi's two pair. Lenny was dispatched in third place.

Heads-up play began with Amnon Filippi in the lead over Vadim Trincher by 4.1 million to 3.7 million chips. They battled for 43 hands, with Vadim taking the majority, before the final confrontation. On a flop of J 5 5 with two spades, they got all the chips in the middle. Amnon held J4 for Jacks-up and was ahead of Vadim's 76 of spades (flush draw). The 8s on the turn completed the flush for Vadim and Amnon failed to boat up on the river. Vadim Trincher had conquered the Foxwoods Poker Classic.

Final table results:

1.*$731,079 - Vadim Trincher
2. $409,405 - Amnon Filippi
3. $214,449 - Lenny Cortellino
4. $138,905 - Matthew Casterella
5. $106,007 - Alex Perelberg

*Includes a $25,500 seat in the WPT championship.
